I reached my limit of free Elephant Journal articles for the day so I can't see the link. I will say, though, one of my favorite words is "authenticity" mainly because I was just a lost soul most of my life being and doing what others wanted of me until one day I stopped. So I hope the article says things like ~ Know yourself. No, really, FIGURE YOURSELF OUT. Likes, wants, dreams. The kind of person you want to be. The kind of person you don't want to be. ~ Start BEING YOURSELF. (seems like a duh thing to say, but really, sometimes we have to remind ourselves first who we are and then to be that person). Beyond that, I don't know what else they could add. When we truly figure ourselves out and start being that person, the rest falls into place. I acknowledge saying this is way more easy than actually doing it, but the practice (living) is fun. Sometimes I am good at it, other times I still waiver - but it's good to be reminded it's always a goal. Live Fearless. Be You. <3

#6 & #10. "And we're heard"? Not so sure about that. People communicate in different ways. "Not being heard" is a common theme in life. "Accepting who we are" can mean lack of improvement. Becoming content and not trying to grow. I don't believe that the author means it that way, but it can. Anyway. Good article by and large.

It's $13/year. How could I say no? One of my favorite places on the web

It is as well to keep in mind that in this world there are "authentic arseholes" too.
Whereas the term "authentic" carries with it a notion of personal growth and a level of altruistic behaviours and suchlike, it does NOT always mean this.
There are people about who genuinely and authentically are absolute oxygen thief arseholes.
