Just before Easter I have brought some groceries to my stbx and daughter. I wanted for my daughter to have some nice things for Easter. 3 days later (!) Stbx sends an e-mail with 'thanks for the groceries' and an image of Jesus with the message 'The Good will concur the bad'. Is it strange that I am annoyed by this? Jesus is his big (and only) friend these days, but he fails to apply the lessons of Jesus to himself. And as usual he likes to ignore the fact that I am not religious. You're such a sweetheart for doing that for them. The jackass response ... well, that's what you expect from a jackass, right? I feel a little reminded of my parents: try to be nice, make peace, and get a slap in the face with the usual bullshit, as if you basically haven't done anything nice. And - what does that phrase mean, anyhow? At least he said 'thanks', instead of pontificating how that was not enough and you're failing your duty yet again. hugs, -P. |
