As you know, I still haven't worked up the courage to leave my situation yet, so I don't know why I am pursuing possible leads for the future. I think the day of reckoning is coming soon, and in facing my dread about having to face a life alone, I think a lot about the fact that given my 25 year prison sentence, I have absolutely no idea of how to conduct myself in the presence of a woman, much less have a physically intimate relationship with a potential partner. I am currently deep in cognitive behavioral therapy, and while this does nothing to address the problems that long term sexlessness has engendered, I do have a sense that there may be some therapeutic way for me to deal with my issues re intimacy, hence my interest in and initial study of surrogate therapy.
I have looked at this from all sides. Self help, life coaching seminars, memberships and retreats to teach one "game," etc. But I think I am stuck at what seems like a kindergarden level when it comes to personal relationships. I don't know. Maybe I'll never get where I want to go right now. But this is what drove my question. If I ever get there, I will gladly report back.
