I have felt compelled for the last couple of days to thank everyone here for their honesty and openness in sharing their stories, advice, and encouragement. I was on ILIASM back when it first started up, but not many folks had jumped over from EP yet (where I had also been for a couple of years). I felt I could do this all on my own, but I couldn't. I'd tried to get some help from my mom and my brother, but ya know -- everyone has their own lives and shit to deal with and not many people really understand how much an SM screws with your head. I was making no progress......so I came back here to find a load of people, some old, some new, ALL awesome -- and I mean that sincerely. I have gotten more out of this forum in the last couple of months than I can believe -- especially the stories of success and the support people receive to CHANGE, to keep perspective, to untangle all the knots that have accrued in the mind and heart.
I am now in my window - the one I have waited for......and I have never felt so capable, so ready, so supported and encouraged. Every story here reminds me that I, too, am human, I am normal, I am deserving of life, love, and happiness. I see people getting out of their SMs and I want to be one of you so badly -- and I know now that I can do it. I know now I have a place to come afterwards (probably immediately!) and find support and Love, Actually. What a gift this forum and all of you people are. Seriously. Thank you.
