Just saw a programme about people who wear chastity belts and give the key to a particular key holder so that they cannot masturbate or perform sexual acts without their key holder's release..
I had to laugh/ sigh/stare blankly at the screen.

That can be very hot and sexy. Not that I'd wear something down there that required a key to access BUT if I'm going to be with FWB on a Saturday I MIGHT refrain for a day or two and let my sexual tension build. Sort of like eating light the week of Thanksgiving when you know you will have the best meal of the year.
I guess it's taking edging to an extreme. I bet that was a different program.

There's nothing 'wrong' with chastity role play between consenting adults.
There's nothing 'wrong' with actual chastity between consenting adults.
There's nothing 'wrong' with any individual choosing chastity as their preferred lifestyle.
But there is plenty wrong with an individual inflicting their preferred lifestyle on a non-consenting person.
Such behaviour is unconscionable, and totally disrespectful.
Inflicting chastity on a non consenting partner in an adult relationship, is a full brother to inflicting sex on a non consenting partner in an adult relationship.
There's no essential difference between the two.
Both trample all over the other spouses boundaries.

THIS, baza - when you first pointed out to me on EP to examine the unilateral nature of my SM (ok with him & my opinion never asked, much less considered) -- it's that consent thing. Then you also had me look at, & this proved true as well, that this one-sidedness was in many more aspects of our marriage- not just the sex life. And I realized just how long I had been serving in a marriage internship, basically, instead of a duly-consenting adult relationship. Ridiculous how it snuck into the dynamic w/o my ever noticing. So grateful it is done. |

There is a direct parallel and it is truly disgusting. It's like being roofied for years and just coming to to realize that you've been screwed.
