It is an adjustment to this forum. Take your time and it will get easier.
I deleted all my stories off EP, haven't deleted the account yet. I learned so much there and got so much support, it is like losing a place where I hung out with my friends. Sad to see it go, but glad so many have made their way here.

I closed my EP account last week.... I couldn't hang on until the 21st, I needed to cut the umbilical cord sooner, rather than later. I must admit, I'm feeling a bit lost. I'm not the best with change. Honestly, I'm having a difficult time just navigating this forum. Grrr....  . You'll get the hang of it. I hope you stay and join in. |

I'm not the best with change. Honestly, I'm having a difficult time just navigating this forum. Grrr.... . Me too. Everywhere I go, I feel like crying. I've got that heavy cloud of sadness hovering over me. Coupled with still missing my home and dog, and trying to adjust to a life alone in a new place, it feels like a double whammy. EP was my main "go to" comforts for the past 4.5 years. It's difficult. |

I just can't let go.
I haven't deleted anything from EP, and I probably won't. It's just so hard for me to admit it's really happening.
Maybe it will have some good side effects for me. Maybe it will force me to get off the computer/smartphone and do things IRL, and meet more people.
And, maybe having to job-hunt was (sort of) a blessing in disguise. It sure took my mind off my love life for a while; and maybe it took my mind off losing EP to some extent, too.
But also, my immediate reaction to the news about EP was, "We've got to find another place!" And Dan got his idea, and here I am....

I have posted elsewhere here today that I'm dealing with some EP separation anxiety. But came up with a plan to save my better stories for later reflection, and delete the rest.

I cant decide whether to let my EP account ride the wave or not. I was going to try to copy all of my and my fave stories, but thats just too much to do, and I am too busy with life right now. Sure going to miss some of the wisdom that was there, Baz, for one and others. I am glad some have followed here though.
The navigation of this forum is difficult at first, but as I have used it, its gotten easier. It is also a lot easier to find past stories that you may want to read again.

What I finally decided to do: I deleted my photos off EP. I had them set to friends-only....but after we're locked out, who knows what will happen with the photos?
But, I left the stories up; and did not delete my account.

I'm impressed! You're the only one that mention my new profile picture! My 'M.O.' .... Is feet of some sort in the sand... Yep, Lexus46 is a football fan.... And orange is NOT my color! (((( am smiling very big)))) Great, i don't have any avid female football friends, until now. Sooners are pretty exciting. I'm a fan of the other Crimson team though, the one that beat the orange team in the CFP championship game. If this was EP, I would send you an orange gift.  |
