A few years ago a beautiful African man that I saw often at the gym approached me and introduced himself. We became good friends. He is Orthodox Jew and very spiritual. He always has a good word for me. He says he prays for me, that I deserve happiness.
A few months ago I was stretching on a mat and he came and sat down beside me on the floor. He said "You are my friend and there is something I want you to know." I sat up and he went on to tell me that he had prostate cancer and had had surgery to remove the cancer and prevent other cancer. When I got upset he said "I want you to know that it is a blessing for me. I don't want you to be sad for me." We talked awhile longer. His entire outlook was amazingly positive.
I saw him last week before yoga and ran over and gave him a hug. I didn't realize that his beautiful girlfriend was coming up behind me. She was not happy and walked past him with a glare. It was awkward. I looked from her to him and met his eyes and smiled. I realized that the cancer and surgery didn't mean that he couldn't be a hell of a good lover. If he wasn't, she wouldn't have been so angry. There are many ways to love a woman and she, his girlfriend was one lucky woman. He threw his head back and laughed and did the one finger "shame on you" motion. He knew what I was thinking!

Nice, funny story but I generally think jealous happen when a person knows they are not giving the other person what they want or feel enough for them. A totally happy couple would trust their partner enough to see the innocents of the situation and trust their partner. That is why I read all the time how the refusing spouse are controlling and jealous because on some level they know their are depriving us of what we need.

There's also the possibility that she is a woman that doesn't like sex and has found companionship with a man, a very sexy man, who won't burden her with sex.

Is it possible that we are reading too much into this? Whatever their relationship is, good or bad, maybe she just doesn't want other pretty women groping on her man. Just saying. It is interesting to see the different outlooks people may have about illness and personal issues. A positive attitude can make all the difference.

EXACTLY the point I wanted to make! lol, I wasn't groping him, but I can understand how she would see it that way.
