It's literally five months today, I'm watching a snooker match on TV in a pub around the corner from my new house. It's nice here, in this new village, in my new house. Work is still hard, I'm poorer. But less tired. I have head space. I'm happy. Yes, I regret the loss of the family, but that's an illusion. It was never a family. I have some regrets, but not about leaving a dysfunctional marriage. I have time, I have friends. Importantly, I have hope where there was none. The adult kids, although upset, are OK. They dont hate me.
I'm seeing a shrink, to assist me break the last bonds of coercive control. It's amazing how you see the manipulation for what it is when your out.
What the future holds for me I have no idea. I know for sure it will be better, happier and more loving than before.
That's it. No trauma, angst, anxiety, confusion and desperation. I lead a normal life on the other side.
Opposite land is a nice place to live.

Nice isn't it! No life is perfect but being out of a fake marriage makes the rest easier. Wishing you a very happy future.
