I'm not getting any notifications on posts, likes, etc.
What setting do I need to change for this to happen?
Now, I do see where it says notify by email. I don't want anything going to my email. I just need notifications here.
On the web / mobile version, I get a clickable number above "Profile" in the top bar that shows new notifications. Ditto for bookmarked threads and new PMs. Are you using something different? I have no clue about Tapatalk.
Hmm. I use the mobile web version on an iPhone 90% of the time. 'Private' mode, of course.
Part of what you're seeing might be your 'order of operation' - if you open a thread, all the notifications get cleared for that thread. To prevent that causing me to overlook something, my first stop is my Notifications. I'll open each one and read all the new messages in that thread before moving to the next one.
Once through Notifications, I browse around and catch up on other threads.
I had to go check that one... In Privacy, my email is set to Staff Only, and in Notifications I don't have anything being sent to email. That's an account I rarely check, so I rely on the notifications screen here. I'd imagine email notification works like some other forums I've used, but I can't say.
This the "Shoutbox" -- basically a site-wide, group chat. (It's only visible to members.)

brian: My dog went to jail once... she got out, ran to a neighbors house, and they called the police. They came and picked her up and took her to the station instead of the pound. The cops found me plastering the neighborhood with Lost Dog signs.

misssunnybunny: Anyone else having trouble uploading images? I've tried on Safari, Firefox, Chrome. The image thing keeps telling me that jpg is invalid/not supported file format, and I know I've uploaded plenty as jpg images in the past.

petrushka: no rejection experienced, misssunnybunny - I can only conclude that maybe your jpg is corrupt, or maybe your connection was a bit wonky

tamara68: I had that problem too @missunnybunny, my jpg surely was not currupt but maybe too big. I have just tried with a small image and that worked.
