I'm married to a robot. It's cold and unimaginative. Sure, it will let me have sex with it if I turn it on, but why bother. I'm looking for a real human man, with an imagination and the willingness to use it. A fear that my abstinence would have turned me cold and unimaginative. But, the robot would have the advantage that I would at least initially be clumsy and unskilled. If someone had a choice between me and the robot, I'd sadly recommend the robot. Something tells me that if you were really cold and unimaginative you wouldn't be worried about the abstinence.

Maybe this is what my marriage needs.

Borg Queen: Are you familiar with physical forms of pleasure? Lieutenant Commander Data: If you are referring to sexuality, I am... fully functional, programmed in... multiple techniques. Borg Queen: How long since you've used them? Lieutenant Commander Data: Eight years, seven months, sixteen days, four minutes, twenty-two... Borg Queen: Far too long. [they kiss passionately]
To hell with a robot, get an android.

The "uncanny valley", aka the "uncanny divide", is a bridge too far, I think. Maybe someday it will be crossed. But then, how pathetic is it that one is getting their fulfillment based on the algorithms and implementation of a "nerd herd".
