Just kidding. I didn't want to assume about any part of "tea" so thank you for describing some of the finer points of your local version of "tea." I am learning not everything we see in the movies about "tea" is universal to an area. That tea in a small bag that gets dunked in hot water, I have 6 or more kinds of it right next to my coffee pot. I like variety.
BTW, it is still snowing.
As for the tea in small bags: a measure of last resort! I was quite the afficcionado in my late teens, and had many teas, leaf teas, that is, in glass jars in my room, and I'd brew them in a clay tea pot steeping them for 2-5 minutes, depending, making blends ...
semi-green Oolong would be one of my favourites, but also Pu Erh, Yunnan, 'Gunpowder'(very much an acquired taste, but ok for blending), Kongo Keemun, Ceylon, Assam and Darjeeling, Labsang Souchong (smoked tea), Dragon Pearl Jasmine is something I have only discovered in recent years.
The flavours don't compare to the sweepings off the factory floor that they put into the little bags .... it's a bit like comparing a can of baked beans to a lasagne served in a top notch Italian restaurant.
For god knows what reason I drink mostly coffee these days, but certainly not exclusively. Still have quite a selection of teas in the cupboard. ;-)

There is only one tea, builders tea! A bucket of water over a broken wooden fire. When boiling a full packet of tea. Add condensed milk.serve scalding hot in 1 pint mugs. Enough sugars to make the spoon stand vertical. On a freezing, wet building site it is nectar.

Chatter Fox - it's not Friday, it's Saturday! (LOL, dateline) I just got home from shopping, eating lunch, looking forward to the board games group tonight. Also: elections. I guess we'll hear more throughout the night, although the outcome is moderately certain - Gods, I hope "Crusher Collins" gets crushed tonight- she's an abominable human being and we don't need a female New Zealand version of Trump in charge. In charge of *anything*. It's a very very sad picture to see that the National Party thinks she's the best they could come up with: what does that say about the rest of them !?! Cool! What board games will you be playing? Is Jacinda Arden still going to be up for prime minister? I dont know a ton about her but from the little bit I know, i definitely like her. She seems really down to earth.
As it turned out, Adern won an overwhelming victory. Her party got 64 out of the 120 seats in parliament. There's even talk that they might bring the Greens into government regardless of having an absolute majority already, adding a further 10. It remains to be seen. Only speculation right now.
A propos boardgames, we ended up playing an epic game of Carcassonne (with 6 of us it took a long time, my wife won, I came 2nd) and concluded with two games of SkyJo hilarious, I went out the back door first round, everybody else went out the back door 2nd round, for a light conclusion to the evening. Good fun was had by all.

I think I have some Ceylon tea and I heard of the Darjeeling area only because they have a narrow gauge railroad. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darjeeling_Himalayan_Railwayen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darjeeling_Himalayan_Railway

What type of tea is that?😃 Looks like black tea over milk with excess sugar or like you say condensed milk

I've not popped in here for a very long time but I've often wondered how everyone I encountered last year has been doing. It feels so nice to see familiar names! isthisit How are you feeling now? Hello! Lovely to see you back. I hope your circumstances have improved over the last year. Thank you for asking, I am still feeling pretty rubbish, but my Covid test was negative which is a relief. I am just super bored now. I have little patience for being ill. Glad you're feeling well enough to get fed up (usually a good sign!) and it's not covid. Things are much better now (I have a sex life at least :-D) Bloody covid isn't helping obviously as the whole country has been put into almost full lockdown again but it will be over eventually

I'm envious of the boardgame night! Are you able to gather people in the same place to play? I'm asking because we can't so I'm trying to figure out what's possible to play online. I can't imagine it'd be anywhere near the same experience but, desperate times and all that.

The "Enough sugars to make the spoon stand vertical." got to me and I said, "no way."
OTH, I didn't take the concoction seriously.

There are some great boardgames you can play online. My nephew played Carcassonne on his ipad, I know that - he said it got pretty cut-throat, the way some folk play there. I am pretty sure I've seen talk about Azul online. boardgamegeek would be a good place to ask what's available ... I am not a boffin on that side of things: I play boardgames on a table and computergames on the computer, ("and never the twain shall meet"). I spent years playing online with other people, Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games (MMORPG). Met some great people there. Which can be salvation if you're living in a shithole of a sexless marriage. My 'shithole' marriage has been redeemed, although it will never change from the sexless status, and currently I'm not doing online gaming any more. Currently. Boardgames happen every two weeks at my house, usually 5-8 people. And yes, because we don't have the dreaded virus at large in our country, we can all sit around the kitchen table together.

I see that I might be in for an early winter weather storm again. The weather forecast is Minus -1F on Sunday morning and more snow. Pea soup won't fix the -1F and I have an appointment at 8AM on Sunday.
