I didn't research this so I don't know if this is absolutely correct or not. But if it is correct, it doesn't surprise me... A very quick search found this meme is a deliberate misquote of the scientist David Huges. Here is the full context of his statement - “The concept of net energy must also be applied to renewable sources of energy, such as windmills and photovoltaics. A two-megawatt windmill contains 260 tonnes of steel requiring 170 tonnes of coking coal and 300 tonnes of iron ore, all mined, transported and produced by hydrocarbons. The question is: how long must a windmill generate energy before it creates more energy than it took to build it? At a good wind site, the energy payback day could be in three years or less; in a poor location, energy payback may be never. That is, a windmill could spin until it falls apart and never generate as much energy as was invested in building it.” fullfact.org/online/wind-turbines-energy/Never trust Facebook.

Thanks jim4444....I wasn't at all sure this was accurate. Thanks for doing the legwork. One simply cannot trust the internet to give you everything relevant.

The South Korean government is debating taking dog meat off the table for south Koreans. Wait...."dog makes a fine meal" --- Mel Gibson , movie character in The Patriot.

Dog meat has been a custom in several poorer countries. Look at all of the different things at some Asian street markets, frogs, snakes and the African markets, monkey meat.
The story goes that in early Montana, the natives had dogs and if there was no food, the dogs were eaten. It is talked about in a quiet way when winter is at its worst. I never saw it happen but the old timers said it did.

I love California. It is the best wake-up call to people who think the Government should be in control of every aspect of your life. Within two years, Californians will be eating their own garbage, drinking toilet water, and only have access to electric cars, which mostly won't run because of daily rolling blackouts.

Deadzone, I read several articles about semi truck transportation in CA. Clean exhaust diesel trucks, well some are catching on fire because they operate at higher temperatures and because of increased purchasing and operating cost, small trucking business closed.
I also read about people and business leaving the state.
California is a long state to drive through, Current electric trucks do not go the distance. Hydrogen fuel cost many many more times the cost of diesel fuel.
Back to the bandanna peals and chicken bones. I doubt that can be implemented state wide.
Maybe the state should ban pooping and peeing on streets in the towns that have so many street people.

I want to remind everyone about the scheduled launch of the James Webb Telescope (JWT) 22 DEC 2021. It will take a month for the telescope to deploy in an orbit out past the Earth's orbit around the sun. Lagrange 2 or L2 is a stable orbital point and the telescope will be shielded from the sun's heat by several layers of heat shielding. Cooler telescopes pick up more details. Pictures from the JWT will be much better than from the Hubble telescope and will see out into space many, many more times than Hubble. jwst.nasa.gov/content/about/launch.html

People complaining about the restrictions and inconveniences of covid should look at what the civilian and military population had to endure during WWII. Sixty per cent of the 2,000,000 were made homeless in London. Later in the war, the German cities were even worse. Russia lost millions of people because Stalin was an ass wipe. Yes, restrictions are inconvenient but look at the loss of life here.

Thanks to a post by mirrororchid on another theme I learned about the "A" spot in a woman's vagina. Most men probably don't know about it and probably a lot of women . Now maybe I know why my X liked to ride me. In the cowgirl position I would often be rubbing the top of her vagina and maybe hitting that "A" spot. Who knew?
