This is such a rare thing, I haven't had a Saturday to myself in a very long time. If it was winter, I would probably get up early and go skiing and stop at my favorite little wood fired pizza place on the way home.
Summer, for me there's nothing much better than putzing around the house on little non-urgent projects and get out the grill/smoker for dinner while sitting outside.

Question for today: If you had a Saturday all to yourself, what would you do? Depends on the season. Spring/summer I would be in my garden. Maybe a boat ride out in the bay. Winter? A good book by the fire ? Hard to say. Not sure I have had a Saturday to myself in a long time.

Question for today: If you had a Saturday all to yourself, what would you do? Easy answer. Ii would lie in bed until 8 or so. Get up for some coffee, let out the dog, feed the cat. Stroll out to the mailbox to fetch the newspaper to read while sipping my coffee. Make a quick breakfast from last night's leftovers. Load the unused recliner chair into my truck and take it to my daughter's house. Talk to the grandkids for a bit. Return home and begin to clean the basement in preparation to building a wall. Drive to home center to get a shelving unit for basement to organize junk we do not need plus supplies for the wall. Return to the basement and finish moving about half of the stuff in the way. Fix pepper stir fry and talapia for dinner. Have a beer while checking various forums. Send a message to a friend. Yep, it is Saturday and I had the day to myself.

What I’d do if I found myself with a Saturday all to myself: I would take an early morning exercise class and take myself out for a leisurely late breakfast. Then I’d indulge in a little shopping before heading home to do a few things that need to be done around the house. I’d finish the day by settling in my big chair to read a very good book!

I actually did have a large majority of yesterday to myself as the kiddo was with his dad:
After an early morning wake up with my son and lots of playing and breakfast, I had to drop him off at the ex’s house in the morning (don’t ask). I then took the long way home via a route I’ve never taken before so I could explore a bit. Stopped at a quaint little New England town to walk around, got myself a muffin from the bakery there, then drove to my sister’s house and spent some time visiting and playing with their dog. My sister and brother in law and I went out for lunch, then I went home and took a leisurely nap, talked with my man for a bit, then took a shower before the kiddo came back home. Some dinner and playing with him before bedtime. It was a nice day.

Sounds wonderful choosinghappy! I have a 3-day weekend coming up and I plan to take a day for myself only. Don't have anyone to share it with but I'm not going to hang around the house and do house stuff for at least one of those three days.

I always have Saturdays to myself (don’t hate me) because it’s my day off and I live alone so not a lot of obligations. Yesterday I got up early and cleaned my apt because my friend was coming over. I went down to meet her as she tried to parallel park and then we walked to this really cool diner that has the best food. Then we stopped at a second hand store where she bought a scarf and I showed her my apt that I moved into last month, made her coffee and she called in late for work so we could talk more. Then I walked down to Reny’s for a couple things for my apt. After that? Just organized paperwork and paid bills and read. It was too cold to be outside so I just enjoyed the warmth freedom and coziness of my apt.

It’s kind of too good to be true. I have so much open space to think and know what I like and want to do. Before I was so devoted to doing whatever it took to keep the peace and it made me lose myself slowly. It’s like a slow rewinding where I’m coming back to where I was all along. Kind of cool!

I 100% agree. It’s like I’m slowly finding myself again.

The latest movie that I saw that I enjoyed... If by “latest” you mean most current, it was the Grinch.
If by “latest” you mean most recently watched, it’s a tossup between two oldies: Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang and Cold Mountain.

Question for today- What’s the latest movie you saw that you enjoyed? The theory of everything -- a Stephen Hawking biopic. Though I found the thought that Hawking may have had a better sex life than me while he was confined to a wheelchair somewhat disturbing (not that he didn't deserve it).
