Sorry you have a broken heart. They do mend, over time.

My experience is limited but I sure hope so, @elle.
I do know that virtual hugs can help.

"Time" - your enemy in an ILIASM situation, is now your friend, in a post ILIASM situation Sister @elle .
But it's a bit like giving up a bad habit. The benefits are not instantaneous but are more incremental.
And in my experience, hearts do mend.

There is an old saying " Time heals all wounds" It needs a disclaimer " in most cases but not everything".

((((Hugs))))
Time will help, my dear. In my experience I have found that the sharp pain will slowly morph to a dull ache and then will eventually fade. You may never forget but you will not always feel like this.
I’m sorry. ❤️❤️

Hugs Elie,
I sure hope so too. I recently heard of a friend who had to have 17 stints put in their heart from the damage caused by a heart attack. She is functioning just fine. I think our emotional hearts can be healed in much the same, by the talent, care and love of a loving relationship. I'm still searching for my "Heart Specialist". I'm very encouraged by the experiences of many in this group.

With time and care they do. Time alone will not need your heart and only lead to scaring. You need to care for your heart.
