A comment by Brother greatcoastal prompts me to put this poll up. I *feel* that the 40 to 50 is likely the most common demographic in here, but thought I'd put this up and see what happened. Personally, I got out whilst in the 50 to 60 lot, but I am now a fossil. Looking for your age *now* (irrespective of whether you are staying leaving or left)

At 38, I'm on the younger end of the distribution. I'm relieved, in a way, there are so many older-than-me members who obviously desire sex, and many with stories of successfully breaking away from SMs and forging new relationships. It means that although my SM has wasted some prime years, I may yet have significant life ahead of me which includes fulfilling sex (and intimate connection in general). I haven't missed my chance entirely. Thanks to you all for sharing your hard-earned experience and wisdom.

51, and, age is mind over matter. If you don't mind it doesn't matter.

I’ll be 67 next week. I’ve been out and in a sexy, romantic relationship for 5 years. I was married 34 years, the last 8 of which, and many others, were completely sexless.

I remember when I first came here and realized there were very few members under 40, I didn’t know if it was a GOOD thing I was here because that meant I realized early on what a dead end my marriage had become, or if it was a BAD thing because this SM had gone so wrong so quickly! (Hint: It’s a good thing.) Also, I’m 36.
