Good luck on the test I know you’ll do great! And hang in there - divorce is a tough process, like rungs on the toughest ladder to climb but one step at a time and you will get there. And I promise - there is life after divorce and it’s a happy one.

But not really.
Rather, those difficult and challenging choices you made back then, are starting to produce outcomes now.
Short term (additional) pain, and now, the longer term gain(s) start to slowly emerge.

You are right, outcomes are arriving, as a result of years of planning and hard work. It’s very surreal to me. I’m at the end of a 4 year plan and now, in the next 30 days or so, I’ll graduate, have a new job, and finalize the divorce. I can’t believe it’s here. STBX received the financials and notice to move out yesterday. I should’ve predicted he’d erupt late last night. He’s angry, but what’s new? More clarity... I’m ok. And one day, I hope to be better than ok. Thanks to everyone for your inspirational stories and encouragement. |

Brief (and boring) update: my lawyer wanted me to push things back until mid-September to be certain that my job is secure. She has an excellent point so I’m taking her advice and we will now finalize in September. What’s one more month?
Things are going well. I continue to just be... happy and at peace with my decision. My STBX is on excellent behavior and it looks like he’s going to be a much better ex than husband.
No news (or not much news) is good news!
