My husband and I are snoozers. We hit it three times. The first ten minutes we sleep. The next we we turn off the ceiling fan and turn on the light to really dim with the remote. We cuddle through until the last snooze and then we both get up. We are both happy people in the morning, but slow to get out of the warm covers.

I am usually up before my alarm goes off at 5:30. Most mornings I rub one out before I get going, but I never hit the snooze button. I feed the dog, let her out (and back in), get the kids going if it's a weekday, do a little gaming if there is time, then get myself ready for work. Most days, I'm out the door before the roomie is out of bed... unless she has to catch a flight. Roomie is a snoozer... hits that button 5-6 times before shutting it off and sleeping some more. I am a morning person. She is a night owl. I used to try to adjust my schedule so we would hop into bed at the same time, but she would just stay up even later. So I stopped. My kids rarely get up early, but if I'm trying to have a little "me time" in the morning, they can detect that and immediately go into disruptor mode. They may not be able to get in the room, because the door is locked, but nothing makes an erection go away faster than kids yelling and banging on your bedroom door.

That sounds wonderful WindSister What a nice way to start every day.

Well, I can think of all sorts of fun ways that I would LOVE to wake up.... (and to wake a willing partner up, as well....)

I wake up before my 6:50 alarm then luxuriate in bed for another hour before groggily stumbling out of bed. Partner wakes up around 6:30 and cheerfully hops out of bed ready to face the world. On Mondays, he smiles and bounds out of bed. He says, “it’s Monday. Yay!” while I Groan and hide under the covers. OMG. Morning people. GRRRRR.

My alarm goes off at 3:45 to a rotation of Moby Dick (the song, not the whale), The Lemon Song, Custard Pie, and a medley of Jesse Pinkman saying "bitch".
No snooze.
Pee, take vitamins, feed pussy, flat iron hair.
Coffee. Regale my fellow ILIASM-ers with some humor in The Lighter Side.
Put makeup on, eat breakfast, brush teeth, get dressed.
Tell people at work to fuck off.
Now I'm awake.

Oh, I sleep in my own room, down the hall, with the door closed, and I can still hear that alarm. Another reason, on the ever growing, ever discovering, list of " why you would be happier divorced". Arrrgh....The long list of selfish, arrogant , noises and behaviors!! Then there is the controlling behavior towards any boundaries set for helping free myself of her controlling tactics. (i've always been a light sleeper, and awake before 6:30am. No alarm needed. As I get older those 1;00pm naps are getting habit forming. Another reason to look fofward to full time employment again, to stay active)
