Actually except for that asshole who cut me off last time I was there. He's a dick. Fuck him. I hope his car is underwater. He's might be a "snowbird" and lives on your street half the year. Just sayin'. Maybe but his Florida plates said otherwise .

Hurricane "Isaias" is on it's way.
Today has been a beautiful, clear, hot,dry sunny day.
Outerbands will hit the coast around 10:30 pm.
Hardly any prep. work needed for this one. Just a few chairs to bring in,strap down the trash cans and place the car in the carport.
This storm is losing its strength as it continues to move closer (heading NW) hitting dry pockets of air.
Tonight and tomorrow will seem like typical strong, summer thunderstorms!
All is well!!

Isaias, is now Tropical Storm, no longer a hurricane. It will be impacting Brevard county ,it's highest around 5pm.
My neighbors are out jogging, and riding their bikes between the outer rainbands! Not much to worry about.
I'm hoping there will be plenty of decent size shells along the beach after the storm.
We will also look for any newly hatched baby sea turtles that may get stuck,or upside down in all the seaweed brought in from the storm. It's a very fun thing to rescue them!

Like greatcoastal I am paying attention to Isaias. Looks like it will be arriving in NC mid next week. Looking at the forecast I see lots of rain in the days ahead, but not too much wind. Probably the only things that might end up upside down will be the trash cans. Not so much fun rescuing them.

The eye of Tropical storm Isaias is almost passed us. We experienced 4 or 5 short, heavy, sideways, bursts of rain, with mild 20MPH winds. Like a typical summer thunderstorm here in Florida! Practically all the stores remained open. No power was lost, not even a flicker of power.
With the Tropical storm turning counterclockwise 90% of the heavy storms stayed further east out in the Atlantic. Much of Fl. remained dry. No damage anywhere, even the sands on the beaches still look good!
Personally, I haven't owned a TV for years, it's good to not be bombarded by all the hype of storm warnings.
