Ms enna and I were returning from a retirement information evening at a provincial town about 45 minutes away last night, along a road I am a bit wary of when on my bike (we were in my Ford) referred to locally as "Kangaroo Alley".
It was raining, and twilight, so I was only sitting on about 90k. Out of nowhere a roo bounds onto the road. I hit the anchors and spied a gap that would get me by *Skippy". As it turned out, I didn't need the escape route, the car pulled up probably 10 metres short of the roo. This is the first car I've had with ABS.
Suggestion - make sure your car has ABS. The stopping distance is spectacularly better than standard.
I think that without ABS last night, I may have had a furry hood ornament on the car.

Abs (and traction control) are excellent systems to have. My recommendation is to see why these systems work and react BEFORE you need to use them. For example:ABS "pulses" the brake pedal. If you are not used to it, you may end up actually taking your foot off the pedal instead of pressing harder on the pedal

Yes I think so. A car from 2014 but with only 20.000 km. Almost maximum of my budget, so pretty scary to decide about.

Ok, we in the States love to load up on features with our cars, as we practically live in them. I love having a sound system with Bluetooth, as I can listen to whatever music I want and tell Siri to make phone calls while I drive. I'm not too familiar with Opel Corsas, as they are not sold here. My family had an Opel wagon when I was a kid. We could not kill that car.
But if I were in your shoes, I would be tempted to get a nice sports car like an MG, Mazda Miata, or an Alfa Romeo Spyder. Then I would head about 200 km to the east and drive the Nurburgring course just for fun! I still might do that if I ever get over there - rent a Porsche.

Our cars are big enough to live in as well. My minivan has more square footage then some NYC apartments.
