I know I haven't been on the boards much. Sorry about that! I miss you all, my friends!

However I have been doing something very exciting. Or very boring. Or top secret.

Naw... none of those: actually just busy with life. Work, kids, the holidays, house stuff. It's mostly good. Just working on parts of my life other than my marriage seems to be just the balm I need to address my ailing marriage. Well, in that the distraction is keeping me from being down about my marriage.

ANYWHO...

My wife is -- unexpectedly -- out of town Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Actually most of Monday, too!

SO...

I turn to you, my friends, to help me figure out to do with many hours of free time I'll have this weekend... which includes the only-a-few-times-per-decade "multiple weekend nights with the wife in a different state".

You may be as sensible or as outrageous in your suggestions as you'd like. You may suggest stuff you honestly think I'D like to do... or simply suggest stuff YOU would do if you had a windfall weekend with no fuddy-duddy spouse fall in to your lap.

No suggestion is off limits! Of course, that said, I won't necessarily be able to do anything you suggest. This is really more of a "creative writing exercise" than me actually asking for advice. But I anticipate your answers will delight me!

Next week I am flying to NYC on business. My meetings are on Monday and Tuesday. I am flying in on Friday.

I'm open for suggestions, but FYI I have already seen up Lady Liberty's gown.

My husband and son went to Cape Cod for an entire week this past August. I stayed home to care for the cats and the blind dog. It was the best week of my entire married life. I hope your weekend is as awesome as mine was!

As for suggestions......... use your imagination.
