I would love to take belly dance too but it seems more intimidating to me. Maybe someday. The greatest thing at the pole dance studio's recital was the BIG women doing their routines. Seriously confident goddess women. They so inspired me to say "Fuck fear - TRY it" nancyb - do it! Take the class for yourself. Whether & when you get an interested audience will work itself out later. YOU will have done something for you - and that is truly priceless. Half of belly dance is attitude, the other half is practice. As naturally athletic as you are, you'll take to it like a duck to water. One of my best friends has done it for about seven years now- she's told me that it really isn't that hard to get into. And she says the side benefits, sexually, are huge.

"Naturally athletic" - cagedtiger, I could fall in love if you keep talking like that! It wasn't natural but is the end result of a long, winding path through dysfunction & dissatisfaction. But I just love that the me you see now IS that into health & living fully - so much so that you think "that's just how I am" Because you saying that made me SEE myself differently. Thank you - even if you just meant it as descriptive, the effect was that of a compliment.

I took belly dancing lessons years ago and loved it. I was trying to get a better body roll when I did West Coast Swing and someone suggested trying belly dancing. Don't be intimidated, GG. You take pole dancing lessons! Belly dancing seems easy by comparison and the costumes are fun!

And she says the side benefits, sexually, are huge. Or in my case completely average. (Sorry can't sleep)

The hands! I noticed this in my SM long time after the handhold was already dead. I racked my brain but couldn't ever pinpoint the moment of death on the handhold either. I'd believe that the affection died before the sex and I had not known it. I love that she wears her glasses. I too wear glasses & y'day took my first ever pole class. I'm no good at it (yet) but it was still pretty empowering to try it. I'm signed up for a few more - 4 classes just to try it out. I'll report back...someday...on my progress.

Oh no.... what did I miss Chatter Fox ? I have a strip club story to share if that helps rekindle the OP!! Sure! Let's hear it! I would feel bad luring people in here with a title that has promise and then no story to back it up. lol So, we might as well have someone share something worth the trip, right? Mines not so much a sexy story as an EO got miffed at the inequality story! briefly: was away with work, my boss and a colleague. We we were taken out to dinner, and got sloshed we went to a strip club without the colleague (she wasn't drinking and wouldn't play) - me and my boss, and a couple of business associates from another company, and the 18 yo femal cousin of one of their wives...she is at uni in the city we were in. We're all a bit rum and it seemed a good idea. But I got cross. Really quite cross actually. They were happy to take mu money to enter. Very happy to take my credit card for rounds of drinks. But ....and I was fucking gobsmacked at this....I was told NOT to dance to the music. Now anyone one who knows me knows this is impossible. It's in my blood my bones and my heart to dance. I cannot not dance. I was was not even allowed to fucking sway! Swaying women are frowned upon in this strip club! I hope they are not all like this. So so of course drunken EO thought a little chat with the bouncers and management would soon rectify the issue. They can't stop me fucking moving. Well I was naively wrong. I got so mad inside that I ended up having to leave before I made a scene. And the the toilets were awful. No loo roll. Before i I left though, I made myself 2 lovely stripper friends. I got them and they got me. They were dolls it made me want to set up a rival cub over the street and show 'me how a club should be run. I'd have the, bankrupt in a week! And I've no doubt the girls would work for me over those dicks any day. I will def try another one if I get the opportunity again though...they can't all be that bad!

The girls don't like competition. They're paying rent to be there dancing (no wages at the club for dancers, just the opposite).

However, to be dancing in a group and to be singled out by a bouncer, pulled to one side, and told to stop dancing because you are female.... no way Pedro. Not having that. They lost a paying customer thanks to that attitude. For all they knew I could have been wedged up with £50's ready to spend. Fools. The bouncer even agreed it was stupid but was following orders to keep his job. And the girls were, as I said, lovely. I know what they make. And 1 fully clothed female swaying would make zero difference.
