I finished the bunk bed for grandsons today. Yes, IKEA would have been cheaper but this is much better built. I use Red Oak with a satin polyurethane finish. The kids are quite happy with their new bed.  |

That looks great. I like the way you laminated the planks together - I have never seen one like that!

Is it going to fit through their bedroom door? The 4 sides bolt together so they go in 1 at a time. However, the house has a landing and a turn on the stairs to second floor. The long sides would not fit up the stairs. I took them through a window above the front porch. |
