I do not want to step on LEXUS46 thread "Songs.... that make you want to dance!" (because I think most Country songs are great to dance to), but I thought it would be fun to open a new thread about Country Music songs. My daughter got married this September, we talked since she was a little girl that I expected a father/daughter dance at her wedding. She cringed when I picked this country song. It is a Waltz and we danced very well(with about 4 hours practice): |

When I get really down, I listed to John Prine and Iris DeMent This is the first time I have heard John Prine or Iris DeMent, very funny lyrics and a well done duet. I live in San Diego and believe it or not we do get Zydeco bands that come through and I have seen three Zydeco concerts. Thanks for posting them @obofla |

My favorite dance music is Zydeco Ok you've done it, you gave me an excuse to post a Sonny Landreth video LOL. He's from Louisiana, and he played in the Red Hot Louisiana Band, and the zydeco influence remains in his unorthodox playing and songwriting. |
