Why can't I sleep?!?! It is just shy of 2am here. If I am back at 4, shoot me. It is one thing I always have going for me. I never have problems sleeping. This forum is dredging up way too much reality. Tried putting the rose colored glasses back on but they are cracked. Have you had your eyes examined recently? Sounds like you need a new prescription. A sleeker style, and a lighter frame would make a big difference, try on several pair! Your warranty has expired, you do get a new one with a replacement frame! Stop in any time and let me tighten those screws! ( couldn't resist)

Sometimes there is an underlying sleep disorder. Maybe you could consult a sleep disorder clinic.
I have severe restless leg syndrome. I know what it is to be awake and in agony.
I started with a new doctor, a neurologist that specializes in sleep disorders. After trying Requip, Requip XR, Horizant 300 mg and 600 mg. I am now on a patch. I feel like a new person. I actually sleep. If I wake up I go right back to sleep!

It's 6.45 pm in my jurisdiction, which must be near enough to 12 hours ahead of you Brother wewbwb. - I occasionally get insomnia these days, but back in the midst of my ILIASM shithole it was my constant companion. - Interestingly enough, back in October 09 when I left my ILIASM deal, my insomnia improved real quick (so did the eczema I had at the time too) and has only occasionally bothered me since. Usually when my stress levels get escalated. - The events (ILIASM deal / insomnia / eczema) clearing up when I got out could of course, have been co-incidental - but I think not. - I dunno if this is of any use to you, but back when I had insomnia bad, I eventually just went with it, and 'tried' to not fret about it. If I couldn't sleep, I'd get up, paint, read, walk, write, anything. Sooner or later, you just collapse, and sleep. I also came to the conclusion that it is quite possible to get by on very little sleep for about 6 days - presupposing that by then one is so fucked that you collapse and get at least 8 hours before the cycle starts again. It definitely takes the edge off one though, reflexes slow down etc. When I tried medication, I found the side effects worse than the insomnia. - I hope you - and any other ILIASM insomniacs - find a way to manage the issue. It is very debilitating. About a month after I moved out I went to the eye dr. for my yearly visit. The previous year I was on the verge of needing bifocals. However even I noticed I was not holding a paper far away to read anymore. So I went and my vision improved considerably in both eyes, the doctor was surprised. I attribute it to either less stress being out of the house not living with the ex or the previous year of outsourcing was more sex than I had in the past decade. I do believe a healthy sex life makes our overall health better. The science: more outsourcing results in less masturbating. And we all know that makes you go blind ...

Its interesting that sleep hates me. I'm not sure what I ever did to her. (Oh sleep is a woman I do not doubt that) Maybe if I buy her flowers....

Yah, it sucks ... particularly since 1 usually leads to 2 anyhow. (at least I can sleep whenever I want to, not giving a rat's arse also helps some).
