Good grief that all sounds terrible. My M was rubbish in many respects but I never had stuff like that to deal with. My heart goes out for anyone dealing with mind games of that nature. It must feel like existing in quicksand.
Sometimes this place is wonderful for getting your own situation into perspective.

Keep in mind that gaslighting isn't always intentional. They may actually believe everything they are saying to you. So if you find yourself saying he/she is such a good person at heart and would never gaslight me......they may not even realize it. This realization, however, does NOT change the situation. Understanding THEM is the last thing you have time for when it's all hands on deck time.

Understanding THEM is the last thing you have time for when it's all hands on deck time. Yes. You may have a spouse who "believes" in untrue things. That's a bad place to be in but possible. Good luck trying to change that.
