I got my second Covid vaccine yesterday. I didn't have any problems with the first jab but the second jab, 7 hours later my arm was sore, my knees hurt and I had a stiff neck, with a headache. I was warned the second dose might not be as pain free as the first dose and to have Tylanol handy.
It is just inconvenient right now and a good time to take naps and cover up leaning back in my recliner. I might even do the same thing tomowwow.

I am supposed to be contacted for a 2nd shot on the 12th, but I haven't heard from the Health Dept. as yet. I guess I better get some Tylenol just in case since I don't have any pain reliever in the house.
Hopefully I will be reaction free as it might interfere with my 2nd career as an Elementary education teacher.
EDIT UPDATE: Checked my voicemail and Saturday I got a call from the health dept. Notified me where and what time to get my 2nd shot.

Thanks for the article. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain so I would really have to be hurting to pop a pill. |

It says they are still like 95 percent effective though. Meh. If I was in pain I'd maybe slap some menthol on my arm but I doubt it will be that bad.

I can take the pain in the arm from the jab but the flu like stiffness, tired, chills, runny nose and ache all over symptoms got to me so in total I took 3 Tylenol over 36 hours.
Having a reaction to the vaccine is not a 100% given so don't worry about getting vaccinated. The side effects are minor compared to the actual Covid flu..
After my second jab, now I have one less thing to worry about. I am still going to wear a mask until the local health clinic changes to "no mask recommended."
I am basing my behaviors on the local medical community guidelines.

I got the 2nd shot yesterday. I give the Health Dept credit, they were geared up to serve a large crowd. 2 lines and multi stations instead of 1 line and 1 nurse like last time. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I do have just a bit of soreness at the vacc. site on my arm.
In fairness to Moderna I think 2 things played a role in my arm being sore. !st the needle for this shot seemed to be longer by about 1/2. And 2nd the nurse put that needle in my arm pretty fast and deep. So I'm thinking my soreness in more related to technical issues than the vaccine itself.

My H got the Moderna shot 2 days ago. Sore arm second day. Kinda tired, sort of malaise-Y. Nothing major. I'm getting it Tuesday. I can hardly wait to get stabbed! Ima pretend the needle is a penis. Ram it in. 😉😁

Had my first jab and so far not turned into a Bill Gates clone nor had a blood clot. Get the second on May 11th. Still staying masked and washing my dannies.

I had too google "dannies"...Def. #1 from Eng. thesaurus--the hand used when teaching/ interacting with children, ..#2 from Urban dictionary--the compulsion to grope or fondle persons of the same sex when one is drunk---either way I am a bit confused |
