I think asexuality is a perfectly valid orientation.
I also think that in our group, the label is tossed around very loosely.
Just because your spouse doesn't want to engage sexually with you doesn't make them asexual.

Agree w/ Baz, but yes. Their forum, or a similar one once looked exactly like this one but it was blue. Pretty sure ironhamster trolled it at one time. :-) I'm not very knowledgeable about it, but some of the comments seem to express intolerance of HL views and some are more understanding. There seems to be relationship difficulties in that community, similar to here, and involving communication issues. I did. They finally perma-banned me. I did troll it, but I also expressed my disgust at their advice. If a LL had a problem with sex with a HL partner, the advice from their forum was to lie. I pointed out that if you have to lie to mislead someone into staying, that is control, not love. They did stop giving that advice. I do not know if they have switched back since my perma-ban. I think most of the asexuals are suffering from trauma. CSL, forced prostitution, etc. I don't think asexuality is nearly as common as they claim, but with numbers they can turn a mental illness into a protected class.
