I don't know how true this is but my W is always inventing up new excuses all the time. Just something to think about.

Back in the day my missus had about 3 (I'm sick / tired / later) she'd rotate through. There wasn't much effort there to at least think up something original and/or entertaining from time to time.

Anyway, any excuse will do.
A truthful slam dunk legitimate reason, or a complete bullshit excuse makes no difference.
The outcome is the same.

"intimacy anorexia" might as well go on the list of real/imagined/bogus excuses.
It's as good as any other.
