Does she always make such a huge big deal out of things that don't really matter?

The W was unusually bitchy today. I stayed home from work today - I'm recovering from diverticulitis. The girls are on summer break. They probably won't see their Girl Scout friends until the fall, yet W decides I need to sew patches on their sashes. TODAY. I resisted and the screaming began. I went back to bed. When she came in there screaming, I told her "I don't negotiate with emotional terrorists." That shut her up for a while. It felt good to say to her. I think I'll go back to work tomorrow whether I feel like it or not. Guess what I've been reading? "Say Goodbye To Crazy" by Dr Tara Palmatier Chapter 26 titled, Boundaries: Why We Don't Negotiate With Emotional Terrorists. Here's a quote for you: Crazy, in all her forms, is an emotional predator whose modus operandi is to analyze the boundaries of others, size up their weaknesses and strengths, and then set out to destroy those boundaries in order to gain control and administer abuse. My boys where in scouts. One of the ladies there volunteered to do A LOT of sewing. My daughters are in AHG. My daughter has been waiting two years for her mom to sew things. I've had about 4 different instances where my daughter informed me about things that needed to be sewn back together. I know not to ask the W. The tailor charges me $2.00 or does it for free, and the service is faster than the drive through. Problem solved!

...yet W decides I need to sew patches on their sashes. TODAY. I resisted... You need a sheet of "Badge Magic": www.girlscoutshop.com/BADGE-MAGIC-KITSWhile I insisted on sewing my son's troop and rank patches on his Boy Scout shirt, I used Badge Magic (two-sided sticky stuff that is precut to the exact shape of the various scout patches) to affix his merit badges to his sash. So simple, your daughters can probably do it themselves. And if this gets your wife off your case... who knew that "Badge Magic" can even help out marital discord? Hey... maybe I need to cross-reference this to my recent post on " attachment". Tell you wife she needs to be more detached!!!
