SmartKat's recent post has raised this question in my mind but I didn't want to hijack hee thread so here I am.
So if you're in a longer relationship with someone I believe in beeaking up in private, face to face.
But how about after 2 weeks of dating when you're just not feeling it. Do you call? Do you text? Do you still need to meet in person?

Do you still need to meet in person? In previous experiences, it depended on for we both were feeling, and if there was any chance for there to still be a friendship. But often, it was via text or email, and i think as both the dumper and dumpee in those situations, it's OK that way. Just be honest and not cruel.

2 weeks does not meet the minimum requirement for a relationship in my mind. you are still acquaintances unless you have already slept with him, then you are close acquaintances. I would send an email or text to say you don't think the two of you are a good match and wish him well.

I like him, but do not feel comfortable with him physically. I will probably text or email.

Humor may help. Hello X, I was just thinking of the differences between you and my new vibrator. One of them is the vibrator will be in my life tomorrow. Unless I need a picture hung. Actually, I know a guy who do that for me. Bye.

The last time I was in such a position was 30+ years ago. - I got a promotion at work which necessitated my moving 160k away. I travelled back every weekend for a a month or 6 weeks to see the girlfriend, and the car I had at the time was a temperamental beast making the journey there and back quite an adventure. I got sick of it. I figured the effort wasn't worth it. - So I just stopped going. (this was before mobile phones / internet et al) It was really piss weak on my behalf, I didn't even ring her, or send a letter. Nothing. Not one of my finer moments.
