It's a strange thing for me to say. For 2 decades I lived in a SM, it consumed my mind, hart, soul. It consumed my thoughts. I would see couples of the same age holding hands, smiling, a hand on the back, or the leg under a table. Why not me?
I'm out now, and been out a while. Life is better. I'm not bored in general, just right now. Shit TV and I'm out of pringles. That's my biggest issue right now.
I suppose my point is - It's better out than in. There is a lot of space in my head. That allows one clarity for shit in your life that isn't to do with a SM. Life is easier. Problems easier to solve.
I have, for the most part, forgotten what it's like wading through the mud that is a SM. The hardship of living with someone with a personality disorder. Life, in general, is easier.
I highly recommend leaving if you have been trying for a few years to 'fix it'. Or If you are waiting for the 'Right moment'. There isn't one. I had my reasons to stay as long as I did. In hindsight were they valid? Some were, some not. I have to live with my past choices.
Dont get stuck. Live.
In hindsight I would advise you don't pussy foot around issues. Tell him/her how it is, bluntly. Make a promise to yourself, and if they don't make a meaningful attempt to change, leave.
The jump isn't as bad as you think.

I don't feel the loss of not knowing if they got the crab or not on Deadliest Catch 🤣 shamwow are you feeling unwell? I’d seek out help the day I don’t feel joy when that pot emerged from the waves oozing little legs trying to escape 😉.

I have better things to do now. Feeling QUITE well. Nice quickie last night and this morning is a lot better than even Mike Rowe's compelling narration.

shamwow sniff sniff I take offense at your snobbery over Deadliest Catch. I watched it SOBER for several years and enjoyed it immensely! 😜🤣☺️ It was great fun watching the dysfunctional behavior of the crews and (sadly) the substance abuse from which many of the crabbers suffered. However after Captain Phil died, it was never the same. Btw, I used to call the show the Deadliest Crotch when it would come on. Just a little verbal conflation preciptated by years without sex. On the other hand, at least I've never had to deal with THOSE crabs..... Groan! Enough.
