I’ll ask a basic question today- my brain isn’t into looking for a stimulating one- maybe tomorrow or the next day. What did you do over the Memorial Day Holiday? I’m finding that Holiday weekends are a bit of a challenge for me in this “in-between” time. H left to visit his family and I was happy to see him go. My family lives across the country (on the west coast while I am on the east coast)- hence my plan to relocate. I spent the weekend alone. I kept myself busy by cleaning out more un-needed items from the house and getting it as ready as I can to place on the market. I did take some time out to do a little retail therapy as well. I found myself feeling lonely and scared about this big step I am taking. No second- guessing but some sadness over memories of happier times. Anyone else in Opposite Land have these moments? I’m not so sure that I qualify as Opposite Land quite yet, but all that you have stated certainly feels very familiar from Inbetweenville. No second guessing here either, but plenty of wishing things could have turned out differently. A horrible but necessary journey to come out on the other side. Stronger and happier times ahead for you sadkat .

During large transitions, a friend of mine calls it, "Rebuilding the architecture of your life." Hang in there.

Isthisit
These dang people from across the pond made me look up Pimms and Grasmere. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pimm%27swww.google.com/maps/place/Grasmere,+Ambleside,+UK/@54.4542323,-3.1522758,12.15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x487cc194a9ef34f9:0x3d8ffdec8fb1681a!8m2!3d54.459734!4d-3. Isthisit, Any pictures from the weekend? Bike trips rules = It didn't happen unless your bike and its panniers, water bottle, etc are in the picture some place.
Me, mow grass because my daughter didn't for a long time at her house. She went to a National park for 3 days. No mom at home (daughter), so I took the grand kid to work several days and yesterday because I helped a friend my age with a couple of his lawn mowers, he took us to dinner.

Thank you isthisit. One of these days, when I recover financially, I’m planning a trip to the U.K. just to see you! We need to have a chance to celebrate oppositeland together!

No bike pictures Handy I went walking which I think you will know as a hike. I am returning at the end of June so will be sure to take some photos just for you. William Wordsworth lived in Grasmere, and described it as ‘the most beautiful place that man hath found’ so it’s pretty special. Personally I’m not sure Wordsworth would have said that if he had made it to Lake Louise or the Maldives but just my view.

Oh yes sadkat that sounds like a wonderful plan. Don’t worry so much about the finances. If the pound drops much more you will be good to come over next week . Chuffing Brexit mess..... 🤯

During large transitions, a friend of mine calls it, "Rebuilding the architecture of your life." Hang in there. This is going straight into my vocabulary, cheers. Says pretty much it all for me just now. Like taking a broom to my life.

isthisit, no bicycle? Well maybe a pair of your shoes and your personal back pack (or is that daypack or Rucksacks in the UK?)? Anything that is special to you. Bicycle long distance riders do not include a face picture. That would be a bit conceited.
I am looking for a local forest picture from my area, 4 trees and 2 are dead, by a gravel road. OK it is one of those joke pictures but it points out how dry it can be around where I live.
BTW, great to hear you got out walked in a beautiful location. I can find youtube videos of the area so that is my method of virtual travel.

itme that is heavenly! Enjoy! I grabbed a little zip code therapy with a spontaneous road trip to my family. I LOVE zip code therapy!! I did get a surprising pool-margarita-ladies party with my sister's friends.

Today’s Question:
This is a question I’ve been discussing a lot with a friend. I thought I’d throw it out to you for your feedback. This one is tricky because you need to define what “joy” means to you:
What moments in your adult life brought you true joy?
