I'm "I had a pager and called back by payphone" years old.
Also known as 47.
AARP is already mailing me their recruitment propaganda.

I never had a pager, but I grew up with a rotary phone and our road was on a party line. Every once in a while we would pick up the phone and our neighbors would be in a conversation so we would hang up and try later.

I'll probably go AMAC. They have similar benefits, but don't leave a bad taste in my mouth like AARP does. In your case, that may make you an AARP fan. AARP started sending me applications when I was in college. My interests put me on mailing lists for folks well beyond my years.
