It's 6.45 pm in my jurisdiction, which must be near enough to 12 hours ahead of you Brother wewbwb. - I occasionally get insomnia these days, but back in the midst of my ILIASM shithole it was my constant companion. - Interestingly enough, back in October 09 when I left my ILIASM deal, my insomnia improved real quick (so did the eczema I had at the time too) and has only occasionally bothered me since. Usually when my stress levels get escalated. - The events (ILIASM deal / insomnia / eczema) clearing up when I got out could of course, have been co-incidental - but I think not. - I dunno if this is of any use to you, but back when I had insomnia bad, I eventually just went with it, and 'tried' to not fret about it. If I couldn't sleep, I'd get up, paint, read, walk, write, anything. Sooner or later, you just collapse, and sleep. I also came to the conclusion that it is quite possible to get by on very little sleep for about 6 days - presupposing that by then one is so fucked that you collapse and get at least 8 hours before the cycle starts again. It definitely takes the edge off one though, reflexes slow down etc. When I tried medication, I found the side effects worse than the insomnia. - I hope you - and any other ILIASM insomniacs - find a way to manage the issue. It is very debilitating.

petrushka: I was gobsmacked when I heard. This is just not us. In all of 2017 we had 37 murders in the country ..... I think the echo chambers of "social media" have a lot to answer for.

misssunnybunny: petrushka, I thought I read the headline wrong (this stuff happens here, not in NZ). It is frightening the hate that is being spread; it makes my heart hurt.

saarinista: All of us, IMHO, should try to be civil and kind as much as possible in person and online. I actively Tweet (civilly) on political matters and am horrified by the rancor & trolling on both sides of the spectrum, which only inflames unstable people.
